Nodus
Guides

Settings

Theme, notifications, sync, password, and the danger zone.

Settings are split between account-wide actions and per-client preferences. Nodus stores client preferences locally; account actions go through the Relay.

Appearance

  • Theme — light or dark, following the system by default. Both clients support a designed dark mode.

Server

  • Relay server — the mobile client asks for this URL on first launch and stores it on the device. Change it here to point the app at a different Relay; changing it signs you out and clears the old session.

Sync

  • Auto-sync — commit changes automatically when a path is available.
  • Max nodes — how many nodes to fan out to.
  • Shard size — must stay within the client and Relay bounds.
  • Parallel downloads — download concurrency (adaptive).

Notifications

Per-category toggles for transfers, conflicts, node offline, and backup complete. See Notifications.

Account

  • Change password
  • Sign out all other devices
  • Link to Security and Trash

Danger zone

A local reset clears account-scoped local material on this client (encryption memory, cached file keys, decrypted previews, revealed phrase) while keeping the device identity. This is a client-side reset, not an account deletion.

To destroy a Storage Node or Relay entirely, use their respective factory reset procedures — see Factory reset.
